A lot of the techniques used are the same, but Leather comes from the skin, or hide, of an animal (usually cow, sheep, or goat in my products). Vegan Leather is a material called PolyUrethane (PU for short) and doesn’t rely on animal skins to create the product.
Leather, when maintained, will last a lifetime or more. Vegan Leather can break down over time.
